It is now possible to sign up for TechCare’s notification- and communication system. TechCare is a Farose startup, which aims to help elders and disabled to live safely at home. The notification- and communication system is a part of a digital safety system that TechCare has developed. The need for eldercare is on the rise here at home and abroad. TechCare wants to be a frontrunner in this area providing digital help to elders and their relatives.

The safety system is meant for people, who for various reasons are helpless and/or home alone. The system can be adjusted to each individuals’ needs. When there is a hazard, relatives, neighbours or healthcare staff are warned by the system. This happens when e.g. there is smoke or the elder has fallen. By strengthening the relationship between people, the help is closer.

Pál Weihe, committee chairman at TechCare says the following: “There are many Faroese that would benefit from this notification- and communication system. People live home alone, but are in need of supervision. TechCare develops digital safety solutions to these people. We desire that as many people as possible can have a respectful existence at home, and relatives can live in peace of mind.”

TechCare’s main aim is to make it safer for everyone to live alone at home. The development of the solutions are in accordance to the established personal data legislation. Thus, no data is misused. TechCare develops solutions to both eldercare and private use. Norðoyar Bú- and Heimatænasta have been an important part of the development and have started using solutions from TechCare in their daily work.
